Directions
How to Assemble: 1. Lay the cookie pieces out on your work surface. Be sure that no excess dough is in the openings of the base or around the bottom notches of the house pieces. Remove any excess by gently scraping with a plastic knife. 2. The Icing: Cut a 1/4 inch opening just below the top corner of the large icing bag. Twist the bag slightly from the bottom to ensure a smooth flow of icing. 3. Preparing the Base: Fill the openings of the base piece with icing as per photo. 4: Begin Assembly: Lay the house pieces down with the reverse sides facing you. Apply a thick line of icing on each vertical side of the front and back pieces as per the photo. 5. Continue Assembly: Insert front piece into slotted base as per the photo. Then insert a side piece into slotted base making sure it is against the icing line of the front piece as per the photo. 6: Continue Assembly: Insert the second side piece into the slotted base making sure it is against the icing line of the front piece. Insert the back piece. Line up the icing lines with the two sides already in position. 7. Preparing the Roof: Ice the peaked edges of the front and back house pieces as per photo. 8. Assembling the Roof: Ice the long edge of one roof piece. 9. Continue Assembling the Roof: Pick up both roof pieces at the same time and put them in place to form a peaked roof. 10. The Chimney: Break the chimney piece in half as per photo. 11. Assembling the Chimney: Ice one of the chimney pieces and press it against the other to form the chimney. 12. Applying the Chimney: Lay a small amount of icing on the roof, and place the chimney on it as per the photo. 13. Preparing to Decorate: Allow the house pieces to dry a minimum of 20 minutes before decorating. Use the photo of the finished house to guide you.
