Using the Appliance: This cup has been designed for children to learn how to drink from a normal cup by themselves. When your child first starts using the cup, it is common for leakage to occur as your child has to learn how to drink from the cup. We advise you to use the cup every day for the optimal training process. Depending on the frequency of use, toddler age and the child him/herself it might take a few weeks to months before your child has developed proper free-flow drinking skills. 1. Place the lower lip on the side of the cup and the upper lip on the flexible top part of the drinking top like sipping from a regular cup. 2. Tilt the cup upwards and press the upper lip against the flexible top part of the drinking top to make the drink start flowing. 3. Always put the sealing cap on the drinking top when you put the cup in a bag, to prevent leakage. Leakage will occur if child presses the seal while not drinking. Note: If the cup leaks when it is not in use, check if you have assembled it correctly. Cleaning and Maintenance: After each use, disassemble all parts and clean them thoroughly in warm water and some washing-up liquid. You can also clean all parts on the top rack of the dishwasher. Do not use abrasive, anti-bacterial cleaning agents or chemical solvents. Do not place parts directly on surfaces that have been cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaners. Food colouring can discolour parts. The cup is suitable for cleaning in a steam sterilizer. Storage: For hygiene maintenance, disassemble the cup and store it in a dry and covered container. Do not store the cup in drying/sterilizing cabinets with heating elements. Keep the cup away from sources of heat or direct sunlight.
Warnings
Allowing your child to use this product for a prolonged period of time with liquids other than water may cause or contribute to early childhood tooth decay. Always refer to the instruction leaflet enclosed. Danger: Check the cup before each use. If any damage or crack is detected, stop using the cup immediately. Warning: Always use this product with adult supervision. Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay. Always check food temperature before feeding. Prevent your child from running or walking while drinking. Keep all parts not in use out of the reach of children. Caution: Before first use, disassemble all parts and clean them thoroughly. Make sure all parts are properly assembled before you give the cup to your child. This cup is intended for use with healthy drinks. Water and milk are the best drinks for children of any age. Thick, fizzy or pulpy drinks may block the valve and cause it to break or leak. This cup is not designed for preparing infant formula. Do not use the cup to mix and shake infant formula as this can clog the holes and cause the cup to leak. To prevent scalding, let hot liquid cool down before you fill the cup. The cup itself is microwaveable, but not the drinking top. If you want to heat up any liquid, remove the drinking top from the cup. Do not put the drinking top in the microwave. Take extra care when microwave heating. Always stir heated food to ensure heat distribution, and test the temperature before serving. Do not put the cup in the freezer compartment. Do not overtighten the drinking top on the cup.
