Inactive Ingredients: FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Red No. 40, Gelatin, Glycerin, +/- Pharmaceutical Ink, Polyethylene Glycol, Purified Water, Sorbitol Sorbitan Solution
Directions
Take only as recommended – see Warnings. Adults & Children 12 yrs & over: 2 (two) 25 mg capsules (50 mg) at bedtime if needed or as directed by a doctor. If persistent drowsiness is experienced with the 50 mg dose (two capsules), the dosage should be reduced to 25 mg (one capsule). Take only one dose per 24 hours: one dose = 2 capsules. Do not exceed recommended dose except on the advice of a physician.
Warnings
Do not use: for children under 12 years of age, with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even one used on skin, with NyQuil, with other drugs that cause drowsiness such as antihistamines and nighttime cold/flu products, if you are elderly, as this drug may cause excitation rather than sedation. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have: a breathing problem, such as asthma, emphysema, or chronic bronchitis, glaucoma, difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, heart disease, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are presently taking a prescription drug or other medication, take sedatives or tranquilizers. When using this product avoid alcoholic beverages. Stop use and ask a doctor if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 2 weeks. Insomnia may be a symptom of serious underlying medical illness. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call a poison control centre or get medical help right away.
