Provide a Source of Fresh Water: Water is also very important for wild birds. They use it to clean their feathers and for drinking. Birds will also stop more often and stay longer if you can give them a source of fresh water like a bird bath, garden pond or fountain. Running water works best because birds can hear it, and it's easier for them to use if it's three inches deep or less. Place feeders near shrubs and trees tor cover. Wild birds are always at risk of predation. When they're at the feeder they spend more time looking out for hawks and other predators than they do feeding. Placing feeders near trees or shrubs offers them protection. Wild birds use trees and shrubs to escape and hide from predators, to rest and sometimes to nest. They will be happier using your feeders when you place them close to cover. Use: Keep feeders filled with fresh food. - Find Best Match: By default, your shopper will use their best judgement to pick a replacement for your item.
- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
