All of the Kaytee Wild Bird products are tested to assure your success in attracting the widest variety of wild birds for your enjoyment. Woodlands Wild Bird Food attracts the following (depending upon the birds common to your area): Blue Jays, Scrub Jays, Cardinals, Purple Finches, Goldfinches, Starlings, House Finches, Mourning Doves, Sparrows (all types), Grosbeaks, Nuthatches, Chickadees. Mockingbirds, California Towhees.

Ingredients

Calcium Carbonate, Grain Products, Oil Sunflower

Directions

Fill a covered fly-through feeder or platform feeder stationed on the ground or suspended in the air (approx. 5 feet high). Fill as needed. Storage: Reseal package and store in a cool, dry place. This will help protect against insect infestation that can naturally occur with any whole grain seed product. Attracting Birds to Your Yard: Birding is a rewarding activity and one reason for its popularity is the easy 3 step process to attract wild birds. All that is needed to create a bird sanctuary is food, water and cover. 1. Food: Providing food throughout the year will make your yard a must stop for a variety of birds. Different birds have varying food preferences and are attracted to different types of feeders. By offering a variety of wild bird food in different types of feeders, you will attract a wider variety of birds. Be sure to place the feeders in special areas where you can see your new visitors. 2. Water: Water is as important as food. Your chances for attracting a greater variety of birds increases by providing water on a year round basis. Remember, not all birds eat seeds and grains, but all birds need water. Keep the water source fresh and clean and in a container no deeper than 3 inches. 3. Cover: While we enjoy watching the special beauty of birds, remember that birds are constantly in quest of survival. Plant cover that shields from predators and harsh weather is critical for survival. Make sure feeder placement is in an area that is sheltered for the birds (near/in trees, shrubs and bushes). In addition the cover can provide sanctuary for nesting, as well as natural food sources provided by fruit bearing shrubs and bushes.

Warnings

Manufactured in a facility that processes peanuts and other tree nuts.
