Famiglia Cotarella’s Le Poggere white wine from the DOP Est! Est!! Est!!! hails from a legendary region around the city of Montefiascone. Le Poggere is made of a blend typical of the Viterbo region that normally consists of 50% Trebbiano, 30% Malvasia and 20% Roscetto. Vineyards are located on hills facing the Bolsena lake, the largest volcanic lake in Europe with an altitude of 300 meters above sea level. Vinification is carried out through soft pressing of the whole-cluster grapes. Roscetto is cryomacerated to preserve unique organoleptic attributes. Juice racked to stainless steel tanks and fermented with select indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature of 17-19°C (62–66°F). Wine aged over lees before being racked & bottled early to maintain characteristic freshness and fruit-forward flavor profile. Fresh & structured with good acidity, both floral and fruity, Falesco Le Polgere is meant to be enjoyed by the glass or with a variety of fish-based dishes.
