Premium quality. Gluten free. You can see our quality! Our baking soda is made from the deposits of mineralized sodium bicarbonate. It is extracted by a simple water process that uses no chemicals. When used in combination with acidic ingredients, such as buttermilk or molasses, it releases carbon dioxide that causes the batter or dough to rise. It's also a great household cleanser and odor absorber. Wholesome. To your good health - Bob Moore. An employee-owned company. Bob's Red Mill products labeled gluten free are batch tested in our quality control laboratory. We use an Elisa Gluten Assay test to confirm that a product is gluten free. Aside from acting as a leavening agent in baking, sodium bicarbonate can be used for many wonderful things. Here are just a few: Kitchen Deodorizing: Baking soda will neutralize strong food odors and is a great way to keep your refrigerator and freeze clean-smelling. Place a small bowl of baking soda on the fridge or freezer shelf and replace every few months. Additionally, you can use baking soda at the bottom of your kitchen garbage to help reduce smells. Just sprinkle a little before replacing a garbage bag each time you take out the trash. Controlling Litter Box Odors: Baking soda can also help reduce litter box odor! Use by sprinkling baking soda on the bottom of the litter pan, then covering with the usual amount of cat litter. The baking soda will help absorb unpleasant smells and extend the life of your litter between changes. Brushing Teeth: For a gentle boost of freshness every so often, dip your wet toothbrush in baking soda (with or without toothpaste) and use that to brush your teeth. Dear Friends, Since starting this company over thirty years ago, our mission has always been to offer the most diverse array of stone ground, whole grain products. About ten years ago, we noticed that some folks were exclusively buying gluten free grains like brown rice, sorghum and quinoa. Soon after that, we learned all about celiac disease and gluten intolerance and how serious they are to millions of people like you. Over the years we have introduced a variety of measures to ensure purity in our line of gluten free products that have become industry standard. We inspect all farm deliveries, use dedicated gluten free production facilities and employ batch testing in our quality control laboratory. Knowing that we're providing safe and delicious gluten free foods that you and your family can trust makes it all worth the effort. To your good health, Bob Moore.
