Cooking Methods: Stove Top Cooking: Rinse measured rice 1 to 2 times to remove extra starch, then drain. Place one cup of rice (200g) and 1-1/2 cups water (375 ml) in a sauce pan. Add salt to taste. Bring to a vigorous boil. Stir reduce heat to medium and let simmer covered for 12-14 minutes. Remove from heat let stir covered for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave Cooking: Rinse measured rice 1 to 2 times to remove extra starch, then drain. Place one cup of rice (200g) and 1-1/2 cups water (375 ml) in a microwave safe bowl. Add salt to taste. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Cook on high setting for 6-10 minutes. Carefully remove the plastic wrap and continue to cook for another 10-12 minutes at medium setting. Stir rice from time to time. Remove from microwave and let sit covered for 5-10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Electric Rice Cooker: Rinse measured rice 1 to 2 times for remove extra starch, then drain. Place on cup of rice (200g) and 1-1/2 cups water (375 ml) in an electric rice cooker. Add salt to taste. Cover the cooker turn it on, and cook for 30 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
